How do I transfer my existing website from another host to UPhost.net?

Here are steps you need to follow in order to transfer your site to us and reduce possible downtime:
1.  Decide which hosting package you want and place your order only at http://www.uphost.net

2.  Once we activate your account, you will receive a welcome email containing your account login information.  Using the information provided, log into our servers via FTP and upload all your web files.

3.  If you have email boxes (e.g. sales@yourdomainname.com) make sure you log into our control panel and setup all the email addresses you currently have with your former web host - this is to eliminate possible downtime for your email during DNS propagation.

4.  Log into your domain registrar account (i.e.the company you registered your domain name with) and modify your nameserver information with the one provided in your welcome email.

5.  That's all there is to it.  It normally takes 24 hours to 72 hours for DNS propagation to complete all over the Internet.  It worth noting that after you change your nameservers, you may notice the effect is immediate - well this may not be the same for someone else in another geographic region.  That is it takes 24 to 72 hours for propagation to occur all over the Internet.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via http://myaccount.uphost.net.
